Our opening days this year were fairly good and we can say that they have been as expected. The group landed 15 salmons in the first 3 days of this season but after our opening group, things have been a bit more slow. If we look back in our fishing report, this is what we think is normal. We are expecting high tide later this week and our experience is that the first grilse will start to run around this tide and should reach high peak in the secode high tide in July. The runs normally start few days before the high tide and will continue after the next few days after. If everything is normal, we should see more salmons being caught in the coming days.
The forecast for the next few days are sun sun and more sun and as everybody knows, anglers dont like sun. The water level is still ok but as with every year we hope that we will not have a long dry season.
The good news is that salmons are being caught in all beats. Of course the seapool is the strongest pool so far but we are optimitic that the upper pools will have more salmons later on.
The following photos are from the opening group and we will try to put more news on the page regulary.
